Beginnings

Well, here we are.  It's been a long strange journey.  Welcome to my science witch blog!

Today is the day after a solstice campout hosted by me and my husband here on our family's farm, where I hosted the 3rd turning of the wheel of the year ritual since I started on this process of living what I believe and inviting others to join me.  It feels amazing to host a ritual, invite others to my circle, and have it be meaningful to them as well.  Thank you so much to the people who've joined me, I'm glad my stuff is working for you too.

Somewhere along the way a good friend called me a science witch.  I've struggled with labels and words related to religion and spiritual belief and how to talk to others about what I believe, but I can definitely get behind Science Witch.  And in my efforts to live what I believe, I'm feeling called to write this blog and share the types of things I find meaningful through the science witch lens.

Other days I'll get into my beliefs, but as a first post here is a link to one of my favorite podcasts, talking about a subject I've always found very interesting.  Sometimes I read that scientists have found proof of something, and I'm surprised that the rest of the world didn't already know what my heart knew.  This is along those lines.  It's neat to understand some of the science behind trees talking to each other.
